Miscellaneous

1) Change takes some getting used to. That being said, I am getting used to the recent changes here and by the way, am liking the color selection.

2) I appreciate that the 'people food' section was kept through the change. Much more, I appreciate that some of the people stayed with the site through the change.

3) I'm sure I try other's patience at times. I'm wondering if we have or can get an 'ignore' feature, so those who do not want to suffer through my writing can have some relief?

We have an ignore feature, it used to simply be on the profile pages, and you just had to click it. Now you have to go to your Control Panel and then choose "Edit Ignore List" from the left side menu.

(Here's a link, though: http://www.discussdogs.com/forum/pro...?do=ignorelist)

Thank you. Each person has their own comfort level as far as how they address friction at a site. I really enjoy many of the people here, and while I am certainly willing to go out of my way to help others, to provide information, and to be flexible and understanding in the name of good communication, to preserve my positive feelings about the site I am choosing to place those who I see as needlessly and constantly abrasive, on my ignore list. I'm too old, life is too short, and the nice people here are too nice for me to do otherwise.

This is a wise decision. I wish I could use that feature right now but that would not be wise, lol.

I suspect it probably would not do much harm - people can't argue with themselves I am far too nosey for that though. I want to know what was going on lol

Well, as the only real moderator (TX reads posts I think, but not all of them because he's so busy behind the scenes) I want to make sure that I see what is being said, so ignoring isn't in the cards for me. But I'll just be more careful not to get lured into the conversations that easily dissolve into chaos. Maybe I can lead by example that way, lol.

Well, I'll try to do my part. I'll ignore what I don't think I want to deal with, and try to take extra care to reread anything I do say before I hit the submit button.
