Any corgi lovers out there?

I have a tri colored pembroke named scoobert. He is a very sweet dog and loves people and gets along fairly well with other dogs but one thing that scares me and gets pretty annoying is when we are walks, if a car goes by he barks at it and trys to chase it. This morning when we went on our walk he almost ran under the car tire. Thats what scares me. My question is is this a corgi herding instinct or is it a behavior problem? And does anyone else experience this? Lastly, does anyone have any advice? Other than that I would love to hear your corgi stories !!!

Sounds like herding behaviour to me. They love to chase, just like a lot of the border collies and Austalian Sheps. There is a lot of good advice on here from people having similiar problems if I remember correctly. You could search for the posts.

I have a Tri color Pembroke Welsh Corgi. What I did with mine was that I taught her to go road side and stay when cars passes by.

For her,it was like a game&she had fun on walk.
