I just talked to my sister and she told me GSD and Dingo. I thought she was going nuts when she said Dingo. But I did some research and now I think she was totally correct. AJ does not bark he howls, same with Dingo's. The curl in the tail is common in Dingos. Brindle is common in both GSD and Dingo. I think I have a very very gentle GSD/Dingo mix.....

Probably not Dingo. They are very rare!

I think that a real mixed breed dog tends to end up looking a bit dingo like as they are really just a what all dogs would look like if they had not been bred selectively for size and type etc to produce the breeds we know now

You don't have a dingo mix, sorry. When you hear hoofbeats, think horse and not zebra. Tons of dogs exhibit the very traits you describe.

You have a shepherd mix. I see a possibility of cattle dog, as someone mentioned, or another similar herding type possibly.
