Hi Everyone,

Holley has started her first heat cycle. She is about 74 pounds now. I am looking for different opinions on the varieties of diapers out there. I read the reviews on a brand that a local pet store carries and they were not very good. People had to deal with them being too big, small, not covering well, tail hole too big~which made the diaper useless~ they tore easily, or did not fit the top of the leg properly. The idea of trying a toddlers pull up with the velcro tabs for easy opening popped into my head....

YIKES! I just pictured a very unhappy little lady....in a diaper. LOL, hope she'll keep it on....what if she rips it off?

Sorry, not experienced with this issue. We fix them as soon as we can. The couple in-heat dogs I've had at my house just due to poor timing when we got them, we just improvised with an old T-shirt on their back end during the bleeding phase.

I bought her the diapers and she tore it off! She looked at me like "mom what's on my butt"? I will try the t-shirt! I posted a couple of pics in my album..

I bought a pack of 'granny panties' from WalMart or the likes and cut a hole for her tail and I would change out a heavy flow pad. Simple enough. My dog didn't seem to mind.
