I'm new to this board and thought I might as well try: I'm looking for an adult toy poodle to adopt. I look at several local shelter and rescue websites daily. I've even taken to looking at other regions and national sites for recreation. It's so difficult to be patient. Realistically, though, I live in Rochester, NY and couldn't drive more than 2-3 hours to meet or pick up a dog. I lost my Billie, a toy poodle, over a month ago and miss her terribly. She was my first and it seems I've totally fallen in love with the breed. I just thought I'd give this a try. If anyone has any suggestions or knows any toy poodles around here in need....Thank you.

Just thought I'd post this update: I adopted a little poodle (she might be slightly bigger than a toy, haven't measured her yet) from the local city shelter over the weekend. I'm bringing her home tomorrow morning. She's about 6 years, maybe older; I'll have to see what my vet thinks. But she's the sweetest thing ever....I've pretty much decided to name her Matilda, Mattie for short. Thanks for all your well wishes. I'll post a picture soon.
