Tell everyone a bit about yourself!

I work two jobs but still have time to putter around in my garden. I am 53 years old, single, kids grown and gone. I have two dogs and one cat..and they are my babies now. I want another dog..puppy, full grown, doesnt really matter as long as we all get along and it knows I AM ALPHA, lol.

I paint on rocks (canvas too, but that is so boring); I make jewelry when Im in the mood; I LOVE Maui with a passion and some day...I may move there but it sure will be difficult to start all over again paying rent, getting a job at my age, yadda yadda..so its probably just a dream.

Lets see....what else? Oh..I have been an ebay seller since 1999 when you could actually call them and yak on the phone. Those were the good old days.

I am very much into animal rights, nature, etc. I dont use poison in my yard, nor in my house for cleaning. I use natural ingredients and plain ol soap and water. I have a bit of an attitude if someone gets in my face, but otherwise Im a sweetheart. LOL!

I WILL NOT read threads or stories of animal abuse. It makes me murderous mad, my blood pressure skyrockets and I cant sleep, so I avoid those topics like the plague. If I run across animal fur items..I WILL sell them on ebay..but ALL the funds go to the local dogpound or shelter because I believe the disgusting and idiotic reason for the death of one animal for its skin can benefit the living animals that need help.

Thats about it for now. Oh..and I am not really illiterate. I just dont use punctuation because its my "signature" mark when I post.

Hi! I am from Long Island NY. I am 40 years old no kids just 2 fur babies- RIo & Nicholas. Who the Alpha is in our house is to be determined Actually its me but Rio can push buttons and be a tester at times. I am married - great marriage- my first one stunk! I am a retired nurse of 20 years. I had to many major health issues to continuing caring for others. Funny stopped caring for them and my health has improved. Go figure. I run my own online pet business. I love it- such a happy job talking to all kinds of pet owners. Not alot of money in it, but I am not a money oriented person. Thats my hubby's job.
My hobbies- I love to write- I have 2 books I have been working on for years and one day will do the steps to try to get published. Love to Garden- love veggies never really been a meat eater. I too am big on issues for animal rights. I do not belong to any association of any kind- I also hate reading about the horror stories about animals. Yet I have learned so much from the forums like this that I belong to which has changed my thinking on many animal issues. If I coud I would adopt every homeless dog their is but that a dream. I love going to vegas I have family their and I love to play slots too. So I hit Atlantic City often. Im not a materialistic person a jeans and tank top barefoot type person. I put my makeup on once for the day and that its. Been a tomboy all my life still throw the football around with neices and nephews. My thoughts are the only things in life I take serious are illness and death. (Of course abuses of people and animals too) but I try not to sweat the small stuff. I like to live and be happy. I am a complete bozo and joke around all the time. I sing all the time to myself and the dogs and anyone esle who will listen ( yes I stink at it) I send family video's at holidays with me singing and talking to them and express them overnight so we see each other for the day. I am a crummy speller on these boards and sometimes long winded as you can tell. I come on them to learn but also to have fun and meet great people. Im not the smartest one in the group but I dont need a dunce cap either. Look forward to hearing about others too.

I am 36 from Philadelphia have no kids that was not in the cards for me but thats ok made peace with it LOL. I have one fur baby 3 year old Ava and I rescued you her from the SPCA after I lost my rottie from kidney failure. My husband asked me to waite until the summer was over and I just could not. I missed not having someone to take care of LOL. So months later my sister called one day and asked you want to save a life? I yelled heck no I am afraid of needles, I can't give blood. But she said no a dog life. So I snuck to the SPCA behind Danny's back just to peek. And we are going down the isles and here she was in the back all in a ball and had no clue what she was or breed nothing. It was her eyes came home told Danny he said absoultely not. After some time he went to go look at each time they did not have enough voulunteers working so no adoptions so we went on a Sat and they said no adoptions well he said how do you expect these dogs to find homes so a nurse actualy said she would. I know Danny thought she was not their after a week. But I told the nurse the isle and kennel LOL and she was their. I said OMG your still here she jumped up her nub going 95 mph and got her home. It was after some major shake ups I found out she was a hunting dog and needed alot of exercise. But everything is perfect now . I hope I am not judged on spelling I type before I think LOL. So I will be in the dog house. I love to hear about everyone and their dogs that I meet. I just think it's cool that their are so many people out their who are so into the their dogs like me LOL. I hope to meet some good people on here

Hello! I just have to say you look very much like one of my aunts, the resemblance is creepy lol.

Anyways, I am in my late, late 20's (lol dreading that big 3-0) and have three boys, aged 7, 3 and 2 yrs. My husband and I have a farm and there are plenty of critters... 3 dogs, a parrot (who thinks he is human), horses, ponies, goats, chickens, turkeys, and a few barn cats.
Hubby works full-time and long hours... but makes the paycheck to support us all. I work part-time, get summers off, and have the majority of barn chores to do. I love my family, both human and animal. Our lives are busy but full of fun and being together as often as we can. Our oldest son trail rides with us and our younger two enjoy helping to care for the goats.
My husband and I have two nights a month that we go out without the children and it is like dating this wonderful man all over again.

I enjoy reading a good book, one of my favorites titled "Fifty acres and a poodle". I like to go hiking with the dogs, fishing with the boys, and I absolutely adore yard sales, something I've inherited from my mother. My mother is my best friend and I visit as much as I can. We live over an hour apart now and it gets difficult at times but we talk on the phone alot.

Hey there....

i live in upastate N.Y. with my wife,and 3 kids,and o course,my 3 pups

when we are not running and biking ,hiking and walking with the dogs we like to
camp ,go to the local parks and all the family stuff you can imagine..lol

as for myself,i love to read anything i can get my hands on,love going to car shows,hotrods and trucks,working on building my own old chevy pick up,lawn care fanatic(with 3 pup,i am constantly removing land mines lol)and in the winter i build a few small scale autos for a local scale car club.i work as a civil servant and my wife is a stay at home mom...i often wonder who has a tougher job..lol

i also like to build...i just built another dog house and took my old ones out and sold them...by old i mean a year old..lol...gives me an excuse to hammer on something...anyway,thats about it.it sure is nice to meet you all and i look forward to being here for quite some time..

BTW...when you are walking your pups in an area frequented by other dogs,and yours stops to sniff a spot that has been urinated on by others,do you call it "checking the PEE mail?" lol

Hi Everyone! We Are Here In Salt Lake City Utah... And Yes Non Mormons Do Live Here Lol. It Is Just Me (maura) And My Man Ray. We Dont Have Any Kids And Are In Our Late 30's. We Have A Hippo Names Max Who Is A English Bulldog And A Prankster Cat Named Jack. They Are Our Babies And I Know They Eat Better Than We Do. I Am Orginally From Seattle And Ray Is From Chicago We Are Kind Of Fish Out Of Wter Here. And Geting Max Has Really Got Us Out And About. Jack Hates Cars But Hey He Is A Cat. So Really I Have 3 Kids I Have To Feed And Get Ready For The Day Everyday. We Really Like The Area Here It Is Beautiful And Our Bullie Just Thinks Everyone On Theplanet Is Here To Love Him..he Thinks He Is An Island. We Are Just Down To Earth Folk. Enjoy A Cold Beer And A Nice Thick Steak On The Weekends And Enjoy Our Friends. I LOVE TO READ IT IS MY HOBBY AND I Work From Home So Having Max Is Nice To Get Out. I Have Tons Of Questions And Enjoy This Site And How Cool Everyone Has Been And Gone Out Of Their Way To Help Me.
