My first post here- Well I had two little American Eskies- Lulu & Murphy- 2 weeks ago-in a really freak accident- Murphy was killed by a motorcycle just 2 blocks from home--- I was devistated- and already have 3 "angels" that have left over the years-- Well- I live in Colorado & contacted Eskie rescue-located in Georgia--Well they had ONE 12 yr old Eskie in Colorado. Of course I was concerned about an "older" dog- but she came to "visit" on Monday- and as you might suspect--We are now her new forever home-- So a tragedy turned into a blessing- and we are going to spread Murphy's ashes in our local dog park...I hope some of you can relate to my story--

Nothing is worse than to lose a healthy dog unexpectedly. I recently lost one of my Toy Fox Terriers who was attacked by another dog while we were out walking.
You mention your three angels, I've been reminiscing over all the dogs I've lost. Odd how that happens. How great that you were able to provide a forever home for a hard to place senior. I considered the same but I have two other dogs and don't feel bringing another dog into the family is advisable right now. |

I am new to this site & just read your Story . I am so happy that you were able to find another dog . We just lost our 4 month old Rott , hit by a car .It was the 1st time I had left & not put her in the house before leaveing & 10 min later coming home I found her . BIG SHOCK ! A friend of mine told me of this site & told me I might find another Rott on it .

another dog
Booboo- I hope you do find another dog- Sooo sorry about your Rotty. Please remember- it was not your fault. Just like us humans- our pets have their own life scripts. That was a hard one for me to learn- but its true. If you can find a Rotty who needs a new home, I'm sure your's will be the right one. Good Luck! ... tobisan (& the girls)

So saddening, makes me want to give my pups some extra love.
Thats awful about your pup, booboo, how tragic. I could never leave my pups out for that very reason, a fear of that happening. Knowing they're somewhere unsecured would make me freaked and so sad if anything were to happen. Sorry for all of your losses. Last edited by seraphicia; 06-08-2006 at 05:10 PM. |
