Anyone with a Bouvier?
I recently lost one of my dogs and this has made me reflect on past dogs. One I still miss terribly is my Bouvier. I wonder if there are any Bouvier or onetime Bouvier owners in the forum.

Hi, We used to have a Bouvier, he past away about 3 years ago at the age of 8. He had a problem with his heart. Boomer was a delightful dog and everyone loved him. When we would take him for walk alot of people would ask us if he was a giant schnauzer? So after much research on the giants we found that they were very simuliar to the bouviers and now we have a GS. I prefer the hair of the GS to the Bouvier's, it's softer, not course and wirey and it doesn't matt up if it is left longer. Tuxedo is now our big boy, his registered name is "A BLACK TIE AFFAIR" for every day use we just go with Tuxedo or Tux for short. He will never replace our thoughts and love we had for Boomer but he makes everyday a pleasure. The giants are very hard to come by and it took some waiting and a 5 hour plane ride to get him but it was well worth it. Now when we go for a walk, people ask us, is that a Bouvier?

I just spent some time with friends with a 15 mo. old bouvier. What a wonderful beautiful dog. He is fawn colored. What a lot of hair though. Seems much thicker than the schnauzers but then he didn't have a show coat - just a "big blonde" kind of look. This is their 2nd bouvier.
