Anytime he sees an animal on television he wails and then he barks. People do not believe me until they see him do it. Sometimes he barks all the way through Animal Planet. I have to turn it to get peace.
Any time he sees a dog on televison he starts barking. My other dog will look outside and bark.
Someone told me a dog's eyes cannot see a television set. He even remembers certain commericals and will wimper when they begin.
One of his favorite ads is the puppies singing"There are no Bugs on Me."
He seems like he thinks animals are in a box(televison). Because he jumps up and barks at it.
Not really a problem. This is just unusual.

there is no proof that i'm aware of that a dog can not see t.v., the only thing i know of is that dogs are color blind, not sure if this is true though. how would they know, you can't ask a dog what color is the sky, now can you?

I will be honest I leave at least one TV on in my house 24 hours a day. My dogs love TV they lay their and watch it. I placed their dog beds in the middle of the living room right in front of the TV. Animal planet they love. And strange but true the movie Mary Poppins- Go figure!

That's so cute! How I wish I can get mine to settle down to watch tv too, just to keep her occupied!

Haha, my dog watches tv too, I always leave it on for her when I leave the house. She's never barked at it though, admittedly it would probably be a little annoying, but it sure sounds cute!

I have a friend who's Westie attacks the T.V. when they try to watch the Westminster Dog Show on Animal Planet.
My male Toy Fox Terrier will sit in front of the T.V. and stare us down when he thinks we need to stop watching the "talking box" and play with him. If that doesn't work he'll get a toy and stand in front of the T.V. flipping the toy into the air to try to initiate play.

Read The Dogs Mind/Bruce Fogle, it explains how they know what a dog sees.
