The SPCA site states that you should use salt to cause a dog to vomit. I did this after going to the site and reading that caladium bulbs, which I'd caught my dog gnawing on, listed as toxic.
Ten minutes later there was blood in her vomit-end of home treatment-off to the vet.
My vet told me that the salt was actually more toxic than the caladium! He told me to use peroxide to induce vomitting in the future. I also found out caladium bulbs are not poisonous. They will upset their stomach. Because they cause a reaction, they are listed as toxic.
