Guess the breed of my dog ....

Just adopted a puppy from the local kill shelter. They have NO idea how old she is or what she is.

Any guesses?

Is that the best pic you've got? It's hard to tell just from a face shot. Is that a brindle pattern I see?

The best guess I have heard so far is pit beagle.

Does he have a blue eye? How big is he now? Pics can be quite deceiving when it comes to size, but from these pics I'd guess a pitt/boxer or possibly pitt/St. Bernard mix.

Regardless of what he is....he is as cute as a bug!!!

I'd definitely guess some saint bernard, i have pits and pit mixes and deal with them all the time and i don't see any pit based on those two shots. How big is he for his age?

It walks like a pit and the face/chest looks a lot like a pit. Hard to tell from the pictures I posted.

Pit and Saint Bernard would be an interesting combo! She has the colors of a Saint.

No clue how old she is. They GUESS 2 months and she weights 10 lbs.

I took her to the vet today for her first rounds of shots and said she was too young to tell how big she would get.

what do the teeth look like? all pup teeth still? she does appear to be pretty young- like 8 to 10 weeks. no clue on the breed though

It appears to have a pretty domed head- could be a spaniel type mix, have you heard it bark yet? does it bay like a beagle? hehe... they kinda sound like howling and barking at the same time.

Yes all puppy teeth. Has a couple huge needle like fang teeth. Listening to her bark away in her cage right now actually. Not a deep bark. Kind of like a really loud whine bark.

I guess only time will tell. She is a sweetheart. Had her just a few days and she already knows her basic commands. Sit, down, stay.

rub between its eyes but above the eyes, if you can feel an indention then there more then likly be a pit mix. with my pup who is mix he has the same indention that my other two have. my little one is about 3 to 4 months old.
if he is pit and saint then more then likely be a med-large to large dog. if pit and beagle (what a mix that would be, a pit that points lol), then he will be a medium to med-small dog. look in his mouth does he have black spots? are his lower fangs back a little farther then other dogs? when he latches on is it hard to get him to let go?

I do not see any St. Bernard... I think the slight color similarity is merely coincidence because the dog lacks any other defining physical trait of a Saint as well as lacking the size.
She only weighed ten lbs when she was 2 months old... I think that is what you had typed...there is no way she has a breed as massive as a St. Bernard in her.

I see very little pitbull in her either. I think the slightly broader skull is more characteristic of a spaniel mix than any pitbull breed. I would label her a spaniel/hound cross, a true Heinz 57 that cannot be defined by two or three specific breeds.

She is cute though and whatever her lineage may contain, she sure looks happy and content.

How about the tail? Does the tail look like a beagle tail or is it too hard to tell that?
