Well today my guys went to the Groomer. Their regular groomer I have not been able to hook up with. Rio & Nicholas both being Cocker Spaniels and also two dogs that do not like sitting to be brushed need to get a haircut by now big time. I took them to Petco and was supper Nervous. Nicholas is great anytime- he will let you lift this or that not problem. Now Rio is my nervous nellie! My husband thought something real bad would happen. Mind you neither dog has ever bitten or hurt anyone. Yet I guess in my thinking taking them to Petco they may not be as expierence ect..
Well Luck upon luck. The women who was grooming my two dogs worked at my Vets office so she at least new Rio. Now I was supposed to get myself groomed today with highlights in my hair then canceled the appointment. I could picture Petco calling me and having to run out with alumin foil and chemical all over my head. When I arrived back Nicky was just finishing up with his paws being trimmed. They let me go in and pet him and he was fine. They said Rio was nervous when they di hi and asked if I would just help hold him while they finished his paws. Well He was a good boy nervous and fidgetty but thats him when he gets groomed. Funny someone said the manager was coming so hence I had to get onto the otherside of the wall and go out in the store so Rio couldnt see me, since once he see's me he wants me next to him. I was so proud of him watching from inside the store, he stood their and took the rest of his cut well. I was so proud and then I saw a large group of tiny children come in for a tour of the store and adoptable pets they had. I thought for sure that RIo would be pulling off that table the kids crowed around the glass to watch him get the rest of his hair cut. Low and behold my baby stood their like a show dog. Hence I am one proud Momma. My Cocker Spaniels look more like large Chihuahuas, but hair grows fast and it had been a long time due to the winter since they have been cut. Sorry this was long just am a proud Momma.
