Hi! My name is Kerri and Rizzo is my 3 year old little guy. He's medium sized (about 45 pounds), possibly a border collie mix but actually looks just like a mini Belgian sheepdog (if there were such a thing) when his ears are up (you can see pictures of him at my site - I'm a trainer - http://whosthebosstraining.com)
Here's one of our favorite "tails"!
One day Rizzo and I were doing some shopping, and WalMart was on the list of stops. I was driving my though the parking lot, you know, like normal on the right side of the parking lot aisle, and slowed to a stop to allow a car to back out of it's space. We were there waiting, and I was looking ahead, watching the car back out and someone getting lined up to park there, etc.
Suddenly, Rizzo WHINES from the passenger seat. Which is kind of odd...so I look over and see what Riz is whining about...there was a car backing out the space we are stopped next to just about to take out my passenger side! :eek: The driver wasn't even looking, and had to be really distracted not to see my towering (compared to his car) black truck right behind him. Needless to say I hit the horn as hard as I could, and the driver stopped just inches away from my door (Rizzo's door!). Of course this whole event took place over about 4 seconds! :p If Riz wasn't with me or hadn't alerted me, he could have gotten hurt or scared, the truck would have gotten a not so nice big dent, and I would have had to deal with insurance, etc. WHEW! Good boy! :)
