I am helping a friend who does rescue for medium and larger sized dogs. Due to tightening of laws and a complaining neighbor, he has 20 he needs to find homes or placement in a no-kill shelter or rescue agency ASAP or they may be put to death. There would be no time in a shelter first since they were already overflowing.

He has placed over 250 dogs over the past several years. He is NOT a collector. He truly does rescue and totally funds it himself. All dogs are current on shots. All were strays or dumped by non-caring owners.

The dogs are currently in North Carolina, but I know that rescue agencies have friends all over the country and am hoping some of you can help.

Please, no labs. Only non-kill agencies or individual homes need contact me. No apartment dwellers. No shipping by plane. But, would be willing to see if transportation can be arranged by volunteers who are willing to drive a certain part of "leg" of the journey to their new home or shelter.

PLEASE, if you have any suggestions or know of anyone, please help us save these 20 dogs.

The approximately 20 dogs are currently being boarded until we can find foster or permanent homes. I don't know how much longer that will be able to happen, however, since funds are virtually nonexistent, and fees for that are expensive. They're in North Carolina, and we're hoping anyone who knows anyone who may be remotely interested will pass the information along. We know there are rescue groups out there who are willing to help transport dogs to various parts of the country, so we're just hoping and praying for the best right now. Thank you for your concern.

Here's the website for the rescue I volunteer for. Have you checked with them?

Hi Melanie, the link you have is not working.

Hi! Thank you for bringing it to my attention that the "dogs" link does not work. I see that the URL doesn't read correctly on the post, although when I go in to edit it, it shows up fine.
Also, when I click on the link on the board, the link works for me.
Is anyone else having problems accessing the page with the link?
I'll try it again here, and if the link doesn't take you to the page, try typing the URL in and getting there that way.
Thanks again for taking the time to check this out!

OK that's weird; when I preview it, it shows up the same way it did on my other post, even though that's not the way it's typed. I don't post on these kind of boards, so I don't know if it's the html code that's messing it up or what.
To type out the url, I'll type below what you need to type. I'm going to include some spaces, just so it doesn't turn into a link, and you can type it up in the search bar with NO spaces, then click "go"... hopefully you'll be able to see these wonderful dogs!
