(my dog is food aggresive with other dogs , i dont know if that has anything to do with this but my problem is this.)
he doesnt like it if im not in the room with him while he eats after i give him his breakfast and dinner. only sometimes when he is really hungry will he sit there and eat it without me, but those times my roommates were with him, i think there has to be someone in the room with him. i noticed that he has a very strong pack instinct and doesnt like to be alone, could that be the cause of it? if so how do i make him more comfortable? ive been slowly moving farther and farther away as i feed him each day but as soon as i dissapear from sight he will come looking for me. before i got him he had two homes before me either of which this could have stemmed from. up until 5-6 months i know he was kept locked up for 12 hours of the day, and i think the second owner might have contributed to the food aggression through favoritism or inproper feeding practices. thanks for your input. i know i can always count on you wonderful people for some really great insight.
