We got Ella from a friend of a friend who was getting rid of "unexpected" puppies. I was planning on getting a dog at my local humane socieity, so I was not interested in a particular breed, however, I love Border Collies, and this lady said Ella was Border Collie and Golden Retriever. She has retreiver ears and face and a sweet disposition, but at 12 weeks, she is now very quick to growl and jump.
She has brindle coloring, and now I think I was duped with the ladies description of the dog. Sorry no pics yet, but I wanted to see what others thought of Ella. Picture a Lab puppy with brindle coloring.

she could be mixed with anything,,at 12 weeks old they are going to growl and act like a dog,,its up to you to teach her what you will tolerate,,don't assume it is any paticuler mix,,these ppl aren't real bright if they are having "unexpected puppies" teach her who is boss and treat her like the dog that she is,,don't let her get away with doing things her way,,if she was still with the mom dog she would be putting her in her place too. What is the mom dog? did ya see her?

A border collie golden mix would not look like a lab and would not be brindle LOL as neither a BC or a golden are brindle dogs
If she looks like a lab but is brindle I'd guess the dog is more likely mixed with one of the following either American pit bull terrier, boxer, mastiff or otrher breed that carries brindle. Post a picture. As the pup grows you'll see more traits show up. You
'll never know for sure unless parentage is known for sure and obviously it isn't.
Good luck and enjoy her.
