Special Area Potty Training

Our 13 week old labradoodle is progressing well in terms of potty training but we can only get him to go when we walk him. We take him to a spot in the yard that we've designated his 'potty area', but he only sniffs around, plays with leaves and lays down there. I've tried spreading some of his poop around the area, but still no success. However, as soon as we start him on a walk, he goes. Any suggestions?

Try getting a towel with his pee on it and wipe it around a pee post, then stick it in his area, he'll know what to do. Use his walk as a reward, when he goes, he gets to go on his walk. You must walk him a lot for him to only go then!
