Thats a puppy for you!
It is characteristic of Terriers to act this way. It seems as though his Terrier ancestry is really kicking in! Congrats on your new pup! Your hybrid pup should grow up to be an energetic fireball!

I have the same issue with my 12 week old Aussie. I have found that he responds pretty well to this method:
First off, try not to play with his face/ears so much. I know it will be hard since puppies are so darn cute, but do the best you can. When playing with your pup, only use acceptable chew toys, not your hands. If the puppies bites your hand, respond with a loud "ouch!" and get up and walk away. When puppies play with other puppies, they will yelp when it is too much for them. Do this every time. After a minute return to playing with your puppy. As soon as he bites again, repeat. Your puppy will soon learn that his biting stops fun time. Your puppy wants to play with you and if he learns that biting stops fun time, he will soon refrain. It may take a while for your puppy to learn, but stay consistent. Good luck |
