intact male keeps bothering spayed female

recently my intact male dog will not leave my spayed female dog alone. they have lived together for 3 years and this has never been an issue. I'm wondering if maybe he is smelling another female in the neighborhood but possibly associating the scent with her or something? We have a total of 4 dogs (3 males, 1 female) and I don't think it's a dominance thing because he doesn't try it with the males.

any assistance is appreciated.

is he mounting her? ("humping", in other words-I hate that word). I have 3 neutered male poodles, and my youngest constantly does that to my middle one. only the middle one, and he does it a lot. he gets on, does it for about 10 seconds, then just as quickly, it's over. I've also noticed that intact males will do that to my middle dog. I've heard that it's a way of establishing dominance, or pack order that dogs use. and your dog could just be trying to establish dominance over her. as I said, my youngest never goes after the other one.
for what it's worth, I once had a spayed poodle that also did it to neutered males.
