My little Girl Tsuki, just under a year now, has reverted back to her old puppy ways! My mother and I recently moved states and now live in a duplex. I had expected a few complications in the beginning but it's like she's completely ignoring the fact that she should be doing her business outside. There isn't much grass and the landlord hasn't taken the best of care of his yard so all I really have is some sand mixed with dirt and a bunch of dead leaves and branches that haven't been removed.
She's getting really bad about peeing on our stairway (carpeted) and now she's started pooping on the upper level by our sliding doors. I had her out only ten to twenty minutes before these incidents and all she does is try to chase lizards or bark at passer-bys. It's like she has no interest in using what she has outside to do her business. Help! Landlord hates dogs and we had to convince him in the first place that she was housetrained (which she had been at the time) and wouldn't destroy his duplex.

Do you crate train?

Yep. I've had to start her crate training over again recently because of insistent barking and crying when nobody's home-especially with everything now unfamiliar and new.
