Hi everyone
My labradoodle puppy understands where he's supposed to potty, but he's still having accidents cos I think he forgets how to go there. We have both a pet loo (for upstairs) and puphead (for downstairs).
I try to take the same route to the potty, so he remembers where it is, but it's hard, since he's at different places most of the time. Also, I've tried to take him to potty right after meals and drink and waking up, but he's usually not ready to go until at least 15 minutes after...which makes it hard to predict. I used to make him stay on the potty until he peed, but then he would lie down and now he sometimes tries to bring his toys on it.
How do I make him understand that he should just sniff and do his business, instead of confining him there until he starts lying down and rolling all over it?
Also, his paws get soiled from the grass. How do I keep his feet clean everytime after? He goes there on his own sometimes.
