Please help!!
We have just moved our 1 yr old jack russell from our grass garden (which he has destroyed) to a large concrete area. His kennel is now here so he will sleep overnight plus this is where he will live while we are at work during the day.
The reason we moved him is because he went to the toilet all over the garden making it therefore completely unusable for us/our children. We live in Ireland, it rains a lot, poos get messy and are impossible to scoop up from the grass... at least we can power wash the concrete area!
I am trying to find some kind of litter tray for the concrete area which might encourage him to go in the one place. However, I can't find any such thing for dogs (loads available for cats).
Is there a reason for this?
I'm thinking if we give him a sand box, he'll just dig in it rather than go to the toilet...
Please help me with your suggestions on what type of area we could give him that will automatically become his "toilet area" and whether sand/wood chips/cat litter would be a more suitable filler.
Many thanks.
