What is the largest breed in the United States of dogs? Mastiff?

don't know for sure, but i think Irish Wolfhounds are larger than mastiffs

My guess would have been a Great Dane but according to the Mini-Atlas of Dog Breeds, the Irish Wolfhound is the tallest of any breed at 34 inches.
Great Danes are 32. My next guess would have been a Newfie, but they are
only 30.
I guess they are talking about dogs with four feet on the floor.
I don't meet many of them.

lol what is funny is that isnt even the tallest dog... we had a bull mastiff come into our store the other day we measured to the whithers 37 inches was one and 39 was the other... 240 lbs. and 215... those are the largest dogs ive ever seen... and then when they are on their hind legs they were almost 7 foot tall the guy said but he couldnt measure alone because no one he knows can hold them up. well just my opinion.
