Any experience with this dog food? I'm hearing great things about it and even getting some recommendations to switch my dogs that are on prescription foods to it. Just wanted to hear what your thoughts were.
Thanks!

I bought the Wellness Core low fat formula for two of my dogs, and they are LOVING it! My Boston who never goes in her crate by herself, ran into her crate last night and sat down because she knew it was feeding time! Cash is loving it too . . .and I gave it to the rest of the group last night to get their reactions. All good.
Now comes the hard part . . .convincing my husband it's worth the $59/29lb bag to feed to all of our dogs!
I'm going to start checking online to see if I can find it cheaper, and maybe get a discount if I buy in bulk.

$59 dollars for 29lbs? ouch
I buy Natural Balance now, and even that is pricey to me, a 20lb bag for $25

I'm sure there are a lot of choices you could go with. I've read Eukaneba is really high in fat. The pound gave me a bag when I first adopted Lily, she wouldn't eat it- at all. We did Science Diet for a while, and Iams, and several other bad varieties before settling on Natural Balance. She's been on that one for about 6 months now, her favorite is Lamb and Sweet Potato.:p

I have no experience with Wellness .. but did look at it and decided to go with Orijen (same category - natural, grain free, human grade AND same price range).
This place has Wellness Core for $42 .. not sure with shipping if it would be a savings ..http://www.petfooddirect.com/store/product_detail.asp?pf%5Fid=2012359&dept%5Fid=1&brand%5Fid=913&Page=

Here is some information about it that may be interesting to you. Look at the bottom at this link: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/showcat.php/cat/8/page/2
Because my little dog has become what the vet now calls a "skin dog" (allergies) I recently switched their food from Chicken Soup to Taste of the Wild salmon and sweet potato formula. It is a grain free dog food and the price is very comparable to what I was paying for Chicken Soup (18 pound bag for $21.99 versus TOTW $39.99 for 30 pound bag).
I had checked into Wellness Core as well but couldn't find it for less than $2 a pound near me.
