I am unsure if this is the right section to post my question. IF not, please move to right place. I am actually trying to get information on what dog breeds are good around younger children. My wife and I currently have a 16 month old and have child #2 on the way in april. I must list that we live in a fairly small house, about 1600 square feet(including the basement) and a small yard(about .16 acres if I recall from my deed). So as much as I would love to have a newfie or a labrador, I don't think it would be a "happy" dog with the living arrangements I have listed. Also we are usure if it would be best to get a puppy or a young adult dog. Most of all we dont know if we should go to a breeder or to an animal shelter.I have done some reading on the web(which have given me some ideas) but I want to get everybodies input in this matter. Thanks in advance and sorry for being so scatter brained.
