In larger breeds it is better to feed adult food as aposed to puppy.
You do not want the dog growing to fast.
5 weeks is okay for puppy food but would switch to adult about 7 weeks.

Here is a link to a great dane sight about feeding dane puppies.
My puppies are on puppy until they are 7 weeks and then they go to adult.
I feed Canidae dog food.
