Police reports said Beadle fed the mixed-breed puppy to the 8-foot-long snake last June as two 15-year-old boys watched. He poured the cooking oil on the dog so it would be easier for the snake to swallow.

Investigators seized his snake after finding it was the victim of neglect.

"The County Attorneys Office has made prosecuting animal-cruelty cases a high priority," Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas said in a statement. "Experience and empirical evidence have shown that people who commit cruelty to animals are more likely to commit crimes against people."
He only got 90 days in jail when he could've gotten a year and even a year isn't long enough!

Well... that's terrible and disgusting. If I found out someone near here did that I would definitely be spitting in their face and vandalizing their home. (maybe not but still) that makes me LIVID!

Ya know, I heard this on the news today and I said to my SO and he agreed, "There should be stricter laws about murdering animals." They truly are innocents. Man... It makes me furious.

i think this situation calls for an eye for an eye punishement...we should stick him in a cage with a 20 ft anaconda, and see what happens. sick sob is right!!!
