Discrimination

I have had issues over the years with traveling with my Pets. I have two Cockerspaniels and go out to Las Vegas often. MY dogs were both born their. I can keep them at my brothers house who lives out thier but I have issues. My dogs can not stay at the larger hotels. But yet when you watch shows on TV with some Rich Girls. (P.H for short) they can bring their little tinker-Be-ll with them in and out of these places. All these hotels say they have a no pet policy but yet they show Rich people on TV always bring their pets with them. It really ticks me off. MY dogs are discriminated because ofg their size and their finances. I even spoke with my attorney about it one night but it wouldnt be cost effective to fight it. Just I think if pets are not aloud in a place it should mean it for everyone. I know this is silly to some but to me I like knowing my pets are with me. (yet I will say I did sneak them in once for 3 days and they had a wonderful time and you know what the people across the hall did the same and it was one of the big Casino's too.. but If PH can carry her pampered pet in why should mine have to sneak in like a common criminal).. Anyway any thoughts on this. Just blowing off some steam over the subject.

I would have to say that "PH" gets special attention at hotels and resorts because her daddy built a multi-gazillion dollar empire in hotels and resorts, you know? Richard Hilton, makes perfect since to me.

I can understand how you feel. I flat out refuse to travel if my pets can't come with me.

If the hotel I plan to stay out does not allow pets, I call to speak with someone of authority (manager, owner, ect..)and discuss the option of paying more to allow my pets to come with me.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

If it works then during our stay the pets are on their best behavior and I make sure when I check out the room is in immaculate condition.

If it doesn't work I find another hotel or cancel the vacation.

Angry Dogs Should Be Allowed Everywhere

As long as the parents keep control.
I really get irritated when I have to leave my pet in the car when I have to go food shopping.
Any place that isn't good enough for my dog, shouldn't be good enough for me. I have to eat though.
Walmart should not matter. It is already a barn any way.

Question If Your Dogs are Vaccinated

What kind of diseases can they get from other dogs. My dog is not too social and keeps his distance. Even from children.

Hey guys, just to help out with traveling with pets... The Portofino Hotel lines will allow ALL pets into their hotels, of course, there will be a daily charge... When I went to Orlando to stay at the Portofino Hotel( and it was awesome, I think at least 4 stars) to go to Universal Studios, I knew they allowed pets before going, but I didn't think they would allow mine... ( I have a rottweiler and mastiff) Well, I got there, and out of curiousity, I asked and YES they would have taken both of them... So, whenever you travel, look for the Portofino Hotels, it's a italian theme, very romantic atmosphere, amazing... Most of them have pet services also, to include walking, pet groomings, etc... Good Luck!! Next time I go to Orlando, the dogs are coming too!! They will have a blast...

Wow that is great to know a botel chain that will cater to me and my dogs. I am also happy to here that they do not discrimnate breeds of dogs. Wow that is great. Thanks for posting.
