Hello.
I was hoping someone could help me out with a few issues my me and my boyfriend are having with our new puppy. She is an 11wk old Boston Terrier. We got her when she was 9wks old, and last week she did wonderful! She slept through the night in her crate, she went to the bathroom outside like clockwork....and now it is like she has completely gone backwards. All this week she has cried all night long and eliminated in her crate, she has gone from eliminating within 30 min of eating to after 8 hours of eating! My boyfriend and I are keeping everything consistent - crate time, feeding time, potty time. I just don't understand how she could do so well that first week and completely start doing something else the next. We are reinforcing positive behavior with treats and praise. We only let her out of the crate when she is done whining as to not inforce that behavior. I've had dogs all of my life and she is just a puzzle to me right now. I would appreciate any suggestions because it's becoming such a strain on everyone at the moment. Thank you.
