What a pretty bird! Does he talk?
He talks too much! he was yelling "mom watch me" while he tried to climb the toy and then had to add sound effects to eating his carrot "mmmmm, nummy!" he has a pretty extensive vocab- not always too clear or the type of language i want to hear. I honestly never expected a macaw to talk as much as he does, he out talks our grey most of the time!
It's kind of like having a perpetual 3 year old in the house, I'm always hearing "MOM! I WANNA (nanna, cookie, pizza, s'getti, up-up, etc)". When we lived in town I had to introduce him to the neighbors, he was apparently yelling "LEMME OUTTA HERE" while I was at work, followed by a very good imitation of my scream, and they thought I had a person caged in there!:eek: Macaws are definately not for townhouses! He's my little goof ball.

LOL! I know what you mean about the racket. Our amazon used to scream HELP! The neighbor came over one time and asked if we were holding someone captive in the back room.

HA! He's only allowed to play with it under supervision and he's already distroying it! I think Lance has some bever in his pedagree sometimes- he shreds oak blocks in about 30 minutes.
Oh, and lance is about 6 years old.
