Mac's Birthday

Today is my puppy's birthday. He is still very much a puppy, but now he is 1yr old. We had a small party for him. Made little scooby doo shaped cakes made out of canned dog food. Invited my mil's and gmil's dogs over. Ended up that the boys played with the boys and the girls stayed in the house. Crabby old dogs lol (15 year old shep mix with 3 legs, and a 6yr old pit who normally likes to play with the boys but was really crabby today.) It was short lived it was cold outside lol. O well.

Time goes fast, doesn't it?! One year old already! That means Lucy is not too far behind! (she turns 1 year on March 3rd)

Ya it's a happy sad. Our rough collie that passed over the summer would turn 14 on the 11th if she were still with us. And our german shep would have be 14 on March 1st.

Smooth, those precious dogs will always be a part of you. I think memories of a departed loved one are always tinged with that feeling of bittersweetness to some degree; otherwise they would just be faded moments in time.
Give Mac an extra hug on his bday.

Thanks Clark. We will. We having been playing his bday up big partly to help remember Great/great/....grandma Magic. He reminds me much of her at times.
