TRAINING WITH A ROLLED-UP NEWSPAPER by unknown author
A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly.
For example, use the rolled up newspaper if your dog chews something or has a housebreaking accident. It should be employed only when you cannot correct the dog with proper timing...... .because you were not supervising him.
Take the rolled up newspaper and hit yourself on the head six times as
you repeat the phrase: "I forgot to watch my dog." Repeat: "I forgot to
watch my dog."
Be consistent with this technique. After several corrections, you will
become conditioned to watch your dog! This is the only time a rolled up
newspaper should be used in training.
If your dog laughs at you when you do this, Praise him!!!
