It is my second Christmas without my first GSD girl and I am really missing her.

She was a Christmas present, my first dog, and it just seems like something is missing.

I get really weird around Christmas and the day she died, I don't even want to touch her urn...

*sigh*

I guess i just really miss her, more than I thought I did...

I'm sorry for your loss, and understand. This is the 1st Christmas without my schnauzer who died right before Thanksgiving and the 2nd without my golden retriever. I'm not doing Christmas at home this year. I light a candle and remember the love. But then I wish they'd show up as this year's present!

May you find much peace this holiday! (and thanks for the Christmas card).

On the other hand, my dog walker just gave me my Christmas present. A CD with a couple dozen photos of all of my pets past & present. She gave me some wonderful shots of Annie! It was great to see her so happy when I was at work and Paula was coming for the afternoon visit.

Sorry Beloved that stinks. You will always have that moment and that tie with xmas :( . But in time you will smile and think of some silly thing and laugh. But you will never forget :)

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I know it hurts like crazy and holidays seem to make you realize just how much you miss that special buddy even more.

My previous GSD died right after Christmas last year. I am way more weepy right now than my normal self. I am missing her alot as well right now.

Give your current dogs a hug and try to remember those cherished memories with a smile.

Yes, I understand. My first without my husky and my little cat. But I bought a bunch of gifts for my two new Sibes, including baby socks! The children enjoyed the pups so much and we reflected about how our older guy used to love Christmas, and tearing the tissue paper all up. Last year our living room was two feet thick in tissue paper all torn up. He was such a darling boy and a little OCD!. I still love that boy even though I can't hold him anymore or share any new fun/relaxing times with him. His grave is needing a memorial on it and I think I will find something for this soon. Without the flowers it looks sad indeed. I think that I will always miss him , until we meet again one fine day.

One year ago today, my previous GSD passed away. I miss her. She was my heartdog.
