Humane Society of Missouri Rescues 84 Neglected Dogs
Dogs were living in deplorable conditions in Ripley County, Missouri
Dear Marie,
Just as many of us were preparing to celebrate the holidays, 84 dogs were suffering from overcrowding, unsanitary conditions and neglect in southeast Missouri.
On Tuesday, December 19, Humane Society of Missouri Animal Rescue Officers rescued these dogs from a property outside Doniphan in Ripley County, Missouri. Please make a donation to help us care for these dogs.
Rescuers found the dogs living in deplorable conditions, with waste piled up to eight inches high in the house and outdoor pens. Many of the dogs were clearly in need of medical treatment, including one dog with a broken leg.
The dogs are now receiving the expert medical care of the veterinarians at the Humane Society of Missouri’s Veterinary Medical Center. As soon as they are healthy, the dogs will be available for adoption.
Please help us care for the Ripley County dogs, and help us provide hope for a brighter future for all of the animals in need of rescue, medical care, or adoption with a tax-deductible year end gift.
On behalf of the animals, thank you for your support. I hope you and your family - human, furry, finned, and feathered - have a wonderful Holiday Season and a happy, healthy New Year.
Kindest Regards,
