Angry why was my post deleted and I wasn't given a reason?!

if you are going to delete someone's post at least let them know why. I checked before I posted and there was nothing saying my post was against the rules etc so why was it deleted?!

I deleted your post because TxDog said any posts having to do with adoptions are to be automatically deleted. In other words no more adoption listings on this forum. If you have a problem take it up with him.

It was decided after those had already been posted. As I said earlier you can take this up with TxDog.

Wow, YOU'RE a mod, YOU deleted it, and you can only say to talk to someone else? What kind of mod are you? Can you speak for yourself? At least take it to a PM if you don't want any criticism for your statement.

A good mod. I said no adoption threads anymore, moderator deleted new adoption thread, user rebutted it, moderator told user to take it up with administrator. Excellent job! Exactly what a moderator should do.

Rules added now. List will grow as needed.

a good mod? randomly deleting someone's post without notification when there was NO rule posted against listing dogs in need of help for adoption? whatever it's your site, I'm over it but I still think it's bs how it was handled.

I'm not trying to add fuel to the flame, but I read every thread/post, I don't recall ever seeing the rule of no adoption ads. It's good to know for future reference, though...

I don't want to add any more fire to this as well, but I do remember a discussion regarding something like this, and also seeing something written about not turning this forum into a list of adoptions--as there are other websites/rescue orgs that do this, so there was no need to do this here. (this isn't a quote, though)

Anyhow, I have posted on other forums that are so restrictive, one never knows if it's a rule or what is going on. At least the mod addressed the issue. And, I always thought mods enforce rules set forth by admin., they don't make these rules, so I would think that if there is a conflict with a particular rule, then one should go straight to an admin and discuss that directly with that person. Just my humble thoughts here.

Puddles, you are talking about the thread started by Beloved. That was just us folks commenting on it, some liked it, some didn't, I don't recall anything "official" coming from that thread.
