is that blue buffalo dog food considered a high quality dog food?? i had a lady representing it at petsmart stop and talk to me about it, it seems pretty good, although highly priced... anyone else use it? is it better than nutro natural?

I've provided the ingredient lists below. It looks good to me! And yes, I'd have to say it's better than Nutro. First of all, Nutro has corn in it (corn gluten), several fillers without nutritional value and in fact, 7 of the top 8 ingredients are fillers!! Blue Buffalo uses much healthier filler- brown rice instead of white, ground barley, rye, oatmeal, veggies (which do provide nutrition.) It's got a lot of natural supplements and oils as well.

I agree with Starfish and I also believe that some or all of Blue Buffalo's products are approved by WDJ.

A note of interest Corn Gluten is the portion of the corn which contains the protien found in corn but it isn't easily used by the dog. So in effect dog food companies use corn gluten to boost the prtien percentage in the guaranteed analysis but it isn't a very useful protien. You and the dog are getting ripped.
