So...

How many of you are sick with the flu yet?

I just got sick, thanks to loving husband bringing it home from work, and now I feel like my head is about to explode.

Any home remedies ya'll can share? I would do almost anything to get rid of this stuffy head & sore throat!

Just thought Id ask, flu season is heading around...

Hope everyone is feeling a might better then I!

I'm good for now, though my coworker called in sick with the flu this morning , so I'm sure I'll be getting it at some point!

That left me with just the new girl... who is not the sharpest pencil in the box. In the 3+ weeks she's been working she's had way more sick days than I have taken in 2 years - and she is apparently unable to do anything as she has an ear infection (showed her how to feel a pulse on a dog, told her to count and give me heart rate, she said "But I can't hear!! ). All this while facing multiple appointments and 3 surgeries!! Needless to say, I have a headache..., but no flu.

I didn't get the flu shot, but today I also started my first in a series of three rabies shots! It didn't hurt at all, and I'm excited because now I'm free to play with the coyotes ( JK)!!

find a eucalyptis (sp) tree and boil the leaves down that will help with a sore throat at least it did for me, you can also breath in the steam for stuffiness... that's about all i gots.

Look in your local pharmacy for something called Zicam. I know they have cold remedies, they may have one for flu symptoms. It's one of those homeopathic things, I was starting to get a cold bug, and in two days, I was able to knock it out. Plus, I take vitamin C everyday.

My kids are still sick though they are better now than they were a week ago. I think I have finally shook it off and oddly enough, dh has been unaffected by it totally and no, he didn't have a flu shot, lol. Just a better immune system I guess?!

I survived by using Vicks Vaporub and 12 hour Sudafed lol. Kids had sore throat "candy" and a couple doses of cough medicine plus a trip to the dr to rule out worrying over chest congestion.
All in all the bug has been hovering for about 2 weeks now but seems to be on its way out now.
