So what are everyone's plans? We aren't doing much. Lunch/dinner with my inlaws, dh's gma and aunt, and my bil. But we see all these people at least once a week so it's not like it's real special lol.

And of course i have a dog show that saturday and sunday lol.

Lily is going to doggy daycare while dh and I visit the in-laws. My in-laws hate the dog, so we have to compromise  We switch off every year, last year was my parents (where Lily is always welcome thank heavens) so this year I must make the dreaded trip to the in-laws where I can be told again how stupid it is to have a dog, and how much of a waste of money it is..sigh..

Why would they even talk about it? I understand some people don't like dogs but why rain on someone else's parade? Sorry you don't get along with your inlaws. I love mine, way more then my own family.

We are going to my parents house for Thanksgiving, but his family is going to be there too.

I am doing a Mini-Thanksgiving, with our friends, the sunday before.

As for the dogs, well, they get to stay home and maybe have something yummy that day... we'll see.

lol... I thought Thanksgiving was on the 28th every year... Oh well... I'm off on Thursdays so I can celebrate giving thanks with the dogs... It's pretty sad that I don't really give much thought to holidays anymore, because I'm always working them anyway. This year will be the first year that I will have the week of Christmas off, and I'll be heading home to Texas to visit the folks.

I have my daughter and grandkids coming over.My Son-in-law has to work and mt daughter doesn't get along with his mother whom they live with so I'd rather have her and my grandbaby's here.

Aww that's hard. Why do they live with her if they don't get along?

My SIL is in remission from cancer. While he was going through treatment they were living with us but we had to move further away to be closer to our jobs and the only place we could afford was to small for them,,grandkids and Kujo so they moved back in with his mom until he gets his tax return and they can get their own place. That is if he's still in remission when they do his blood work on the 22nd.

We are doing the usual... lunch with my in-laws then dinner with hubby's in-laws, lol. I would so much rather just stay home and cook a turkey dinner for my own family but I always feel obligated to visit both sides of the family so they can see the kids.
There are no kids on my family's side except my own and my bil has a couple boys similar aged to mine on hubby's side. Our house is too small to invite everyone over. We tried that once for Easter, lol. It was kinda funny. People were spilling out of every room.

Staying home and cooking. Have done this for the past two years now. It's so nice to be able to stuff your face and not have to travel with your pants unbottened LOL.

We are having Thanksgiving this Sunday (19th) at my son's house 100 miles north of us. My hubby has to work Thanksgiving day. So we will load up the puppers and the other goodies on Sunday morning and take a ride. My son amd hiswife and 2 daughters, mydaughter, mother, sister and her family, and my best friend will be there. Should be a good time--too much food as usual I am sure!!!;)

ROFL This is when I whip out my special holiday thanksgiving sweatpants...allows for expansion!! :D

My in-laws are both deceased as is my father. My mom lives in another state. So, me and hubby go to my sister's house on Thanksgiving, eat, drink, play cards, bicker, etc etc. You know, the usual fun stuff. LOL

For a change I'll get the holiday off so we'll probably be going to my in laws' house for a family dinner with some other relatives. My parents are in another state and even though I don't mind the trip they're not big on Thanksgiving.

At Ross's parents we'll have an early dinner, then play games and drink a little with about 10-12 people. It's fun but it holidays have been such a different world for me the last 5 years (since we started dating) because it was always just my mom, dad and me!

Thanksgiving is one of the reasons I am SO happy that I moved back home to Louisiana. My in-laws are the best southern cooks in the entire country. :D We are going to my sister-in-law's house this year and there will be about 20 of us. I don't have to do anything but show up (dh, daughter and brother will be coming with me), eat, yawn and offer to help clean. They always refuse the help and then we go home to lay around and moan and watch football. Ahhh...gotta love family.

My mother is in New York and my father died a couple of years ago. My sister goes to her in-laws too so we are all covered. I suppose Max will come with us as my sister-in-law owns a ton of land (& horses) for him to just run around on. Oh, he will love that.
