So who is your pick. I'm leaning toward #4 but in all honesty i don't know your standard.

I think they are all beautiful, but if I was purchasing one of her pups, I would inquire about puppy number 6... I love the markings... and that face!! lol.. innocence and sweet, just want to reach through the computer and give bunch of kisses... lol

She has a lot of different head shapes. Collies are a head breed so that's what I look for but again i don't know their standard.

Picking will be very diffcult with this crew as I love all these little divas already
I have already started picking apart each of them LOL even though at this point they change daily
All the pups are brindle just all different shades. #4 has the least amount of brindling but that could change as she grows. #2 and #5 are going to have red noses like their sire Patcheeno. #6 is slightly larger than her sisters. #5 is slightly smaller than the others. #3 has the shortest muzzle everyone elses muzzle is exactly the same length. They are all very close in body length. It is a very consistent litter whch is great. I couldn't be happier with them
There are only two diferent head types in this litter. Some have more of the red nose style head which has a less prominant stop the muzzle. The color tends to make them looks more different than they actually are
Everyone's rear angulation looks food thus far and toplines and tail sets too, but you can't really tell shoulder sets yet until they are more steady on their feet and closer to 8 weeks. Also, they are just etting teeth so you can't see the bites yet either
It is too early for picks. Of course there are a cople I really have my eye on more than the others, but they change so much over the the next couple of weeks it is too hard to say for sure who will come live with me.
with this breed the standard calls pretty much for the total package to be balanced temperament included. Plus they should have a good working drive as well. Whe I go visit the lil ones I'll start working with them and see how they do.
you can see the breed standard if you would like here:

I always have my golden children from day one. The only question is out of them who will become the best. Usually we are right on the money from day one but every once in a while they take some funky turn or don't develop something lol. But ya always love a sire that throws girls! In collies it's all about the head. I mean ya need the other stuff but when you walk in the ring you assume that all that stuff is good and you are really just looking at the head for the most part. Sometimes people will have gay tails or something like that.

Does color matter?

Does color matter?
No, color doesn't matter as long as they aren't merle because in this breed merle means they are mixed. This is because APBTs do not produce it though some BYBs try to pass them off as purebreds  .
LOL Patcheeno the sire of these puppies was my pick the day he was born, but I didn't say it out loud until I took him officially. I don't like to say ahead of time as not to jinx the pup so to speak LOL ;)

Do you mix certain colors to get certain colors? Like in collies If you breed a blue merel to a tri you get blues and tris. If you breed a sable to a blue you get everything....ect ect. I won't bore you all. Any way is it like that in your breed?

Personally I don't breed for color at all.
I can pretty much tell what is going to come out by looking at the pedigrees though.
For examples certain colors like blue are recessive so you need both parents to carry it for that to come

I am no expert LOL but I realy like #3 that wrinkled little face I love it!!!!!
Reading that her face is shorter then the rest maybe thats why she stands out to me LOL.

They are sure maturing nicely! Congrats!
I still cannot believe how much that #6 pup looks like my Danny. It is just incredible. I do have to say that I lean a little toward #4 and #6 of course. I bet you have a waiting list a mile long for these little girls!

awwwww oh no. How do you handle a situation like that?
True you can't predict what will come out LOL. I would try to think of it as good things come to those who waite :D . But don't think someone who waited three years would think that way LOL.

I'm thrilled because I knew I wanted a girl LOL
Everyone goes in knowing that sometimes there are not enough pups of a particular sex or enough pups born for all the interested parties and deposits are refunded if they chose not to take a pup due to those sort of issue. Sometimes they change and take a different sex dog and sometimes not.
I posted their 4 week old picts in the photo section... go take a peak at how they've changed over the last week
