I have been in dogs all my life as most of you know. Any my mother of all people thinks that pits should be outlawed and said this in front of my kids who love love love their other grandma's pit. I was so upset. Stuipd people are everywhere...sometimes closer then you think.

I added my vote. We're down to 52% who think they should be muzzled. People need to do some research before making stupid proposels.

I think it would be nearly impossible to limit only certain breeds. What about mixed breeds? I was told that Lucy's sire was most likely an Akita yet I don't see it by looking at her. Other mixes that are commonly called lab mixes look very pitbull to me. The law would only effect a purebred dog, or one that looked very similar to it.
I asked my husband about this topic and he said no right away but then when I asked him about an aggressive dog we unfortuneately met ourselves while out on a walk (which was loose) and he then said he thought some people need permits to own a dog to begin with. I find myself agreeing more with that belief than to muzzle specific breeds.
