I would love to make my own cookies, ect. I just don't know where to start. Also I would love to know about frosting them as well. I like the fancy treats, but with 6 dogs they are too expensive. Making my own would not only be fun but I know a few little tongues that would love to lick the bowl as well.:D

Well, I don't have any good cookie recipes (for dogs that is :) ), but one of Geiger's favorite treats is dehydrated liver. The treats you get at stores can get kinda pricey, so I make my own. Just take some liver, slice it really thin, and lay it out on a parchment covered cookie sheet. Turn the oven onto the lowest setting, and leave the oven door cracked open so the moisture can escape. It takes a while to dry out (depending on how thin you slice it), but it makes great treats. My kitties love them, too!

I give Lily kongs stuffed with peanut butter and yogurt. She loves them. For treats, I never buy the cookies from the pet store, she's gotten sick off of them many times :(
I get my recipes from here: http://www.bullwrinkle.com/Assets/Recipes/Recipes.htm
