Hopefully I'm posting this is the right spot if not sorry and disregard this post.
A week ago we bought a 9week old mini. doxen. When she took her first poop at the house we noticed that she had small white worms in her pooh. They were about .5-to no bigger than 1cm long. We are also finding these worms coming out of her read end......So did some searching on the net to try to find out what kind of worms they were and still haven't had any luck with it. So hopefully someone on here can help me out with what they may be.....I'v read on round & whip worms but they are not as long as what is describe for them......???? Any clue.....??? We bought some wormer (NEMEX 2) thinking that it would start solving this problem but it hasn't.....?? I searched on her about DRONTAL is this the way we should go....?? Hopefully someone can atleast tell me what kind of worms we are dealing with.....Thanks in advance

A trip to the vet will solve your problem

After doing more research I've finally found what I was looking for.....this is what she has tapeworms.....!!!!
1. Determine if your pet is infected with tapeworms. Look for evidence of tapeworms by inspecting your pet's rear end and stool: tapeworm segments are small, white and flat, resembling grains of rice.
Now that I've found out what they are.....I've found out this:
Tips from eHow Users:
Eliminating Tapeworms by Brenda Swann
To effectively eliminate tapeworms, hookworms, round worms, and whipworms in dogs and puppies, treat them with "Valbazen" (Abendazole) liquid wormer 2 days in a row. This wormer is available at any feed store and is highly recommended by dog owners for over 25 years. It is recognized by vets to be effective. Adult dog dosage is 1 cc per 10 lbs of body weight. The puppy dose is 1/10 of cc per 10 lbs. of body weight.
Do y'all recommend VALBAZEN or ever heard of it....??
Also it says 1/10 of a cc per 10lbs.....she only weighs 3lbs so I need some help on this equation....???

Drontal is what you need you have tape worms. It looks like grains of rice right? and some of them are still moving. Also check her for fleas. Fleas are a common transportation for tapeworms.

Since your puppy is so tiny the dosage will be hard to get. It's probably best that you ask your vet, because they may have a medication that's dosed properly for her size and therefore safer for her.

I am in no way attempting to sound rude but is there some reason why you chose not to take your pup to the vet?
Just for your own future reference, most vet offices will let you just take in a stool sample which usually costs around 10, maybe 15 bucks. Prescribed deworming medicine itself is pretty inexpensive as well.

I Agree...
I don't want to be rude, but instead of researching the problem, which very well could have been life threatening, a simple trip to the vet would have been the best thing to do.
Worms in pups, if left untreated for even a short time, can be deadly in small dogs. If you haven't already, get your dog to the vet and you should be fine. Also, I would suggest some reading material on common dog diseases or inflictions. Even if your dog isn't showing any symptoms now, it is already good to know what to look for so you can nip it at the very beginning!!

Yep, Tapes were my first thought. Droncit's the weapon of choice at our clinic. Go to your Vet, be sure to bring a stool sample (preferably one with worms in it).
If you have a Vet you've already brought this puppy to then you might be able to do like ClarkFarm said - drop off a poop sample and they will look at it and send you home with whatever meds you need. If the new pup hasn't seen a Vet yet, you should make the new puppy visit appointment regardless.
