I am not sure about boxers, but I do know that my Boston Terrier, Winston can clear a room..
I have found that adding about a teaspoon of plain yogurt to his food does help a bit.
Good luck;)

I have a boxer, too, who is also named Tyson. He used to have really bad gas when I had him on a food that had a lot of corn and corn gluten in it. Once I switched him to something better, the gas problem pretty much went away. He still gets it occasionally, but no where near as bad as before. What kind of food is yours on?

My boxer never had gas on ProPlan but has recently developed it really bad since he has been on Phenobarbitol for his seizures..that's all on another thread.....now i give him "Gas Be Gone" chewable tablets from Petsmart and that has helped out alot.....I just put those tablets in with his food and it has made a huge difference.......he sounded and smelled like a boy's locker room.....ugh.....I hated having him in the house so this was definitely an solution:D

Can't answer your question from the boxer point of view, but what I can tell you is that FOR a boxer, gas is good! Dogs with big chests are prone to bloat, and the fact that he's passing air by belching or... otherwise... means that his body is expelling the excess gas.
You can relieve this problem by soaking his food with water and letting it expand to remove the air from the kibble.

Whenever I had the Danes,,omg,,,they could clear a room!!! I was the only one in the neighborhood that had my windows open in 10 below zero,,praise God that the dogs I have now do not have this problem,,once in awhile,, but not like the Great Danes

Try adding some probiotics or switching the food all together

Amen on the boxer gas. Our Marty has the smelliest gas at times...ok ALL the time. He also belches quite loud. Good thing he's such a lovebug!!!

I've never heard a dog fart until I got Cash . . .and then Bella. They both burp and fart all the time! Cash has digestion issues that we've spent hundreds of dollars and over a year trying to get cleared up though. We thought that was why is gas was so bad. Now that we seem to have the problem fixed and he's on prescription dog food, we dont' have the problems we use to . . .but I swear if you get all four of mine together in one room . . .it's like a gas symphony between all the farting and burping.
I really think the funniest thing I've ever seen was when Cash was laying on our bed and farted. He just lifted his head and looked at his butt like "OMG! What was that!" I laughed forever!

Luke was tootin' tonight. But only because I gave him raw cabbage earlier. He loves that stuff. LOL It's through him though by bedtime.
