I have no questions to ask, but I wanted to start this thread in case there were any people interested in the breed, or perhaps other people who have Borzoi can post in here.
I currently have a 7 month old pup called Zeke, he's amazing, I adore him.
I'm considering adopting another - his father, as a matter of fact. He was recently returned to the orginal owners despite being an Australian Champion and having sired a litter, and now they're looking for a home for him.
But yes, feel free to post anything about Borzoi!
what is it you like so much about this breed as opposed to the other two you have?? I am always fascinated by various breeds, and what their inante skills are.

I love all my dogs so much, I don't want it to sound like a popularity contest, but Zeke, my Borzoi, has really captured my heart.
He's so silly, and despite his size he is the sweetest, most gentle dog I have ever owned. He's nice to everyone he meets - human or hound, and he loves cuddles more than anything else in the world. There's also little traits about him that always make me smile:
- the way he "leans" on people (mainly 'friends')
- when he's happy his cheeks puff in and out, this always makes me giggle
- if he wants a cuddle he'll come and dump his head in your lap
- I also love the way he watches my mice, at first I was concerned because I thought he might try get at them, but he just enjoys watching them. When they run in their wheels he gets really excited, he jumps around and barks at them.
- And lastly, I love his appearance, Borzoi are so majestic and 'arty'
I love virtually all breeds of dog, but I've always dreamed of owning a Borzoi.
Here's some pics of Zeke with one of my mice, Ceej:

Zeke is a beautiful hound!
Reggie, my irish wolfhound, has captured my heart as Zeke, has captured yours.
I love my Boston terrier, Winston, only Reggie has a special place. She is just a very unique furson.

What a beautiful dog :)
I've actually never seen a picture from an owner of a Borzoi, only pictures I've seen have been in dog breed books.

This is the breed that stole my heart over 20 years ago. You have one truly gorgeous 'Zoi!! How exciting that you may be getting another, his sire no less. Photos we want lots of photos if you get him!! Alas for various reasons I've never shared my life with a Borzoi, but am currently on a waiting list for one of their smaller cousins, a Silken Windhound.

Well, the Silken Windhound breeding didn't work out. However, the good news is I am now on a waiting list for a BORZOI puppy:D If all goes well, the litter will be born in late June. I am soooooo excited!!

Do Borzois have different coat textures? Zeke looks smooth compared to 2 very shaggy borzois I just saw at a show...
They are so elegant.
