This is my first post, so first Hi to every one, and I hope to learn many things from this forum,
Just a bit of back ground , I live in central Thailand with my wife and daughter and Four Months ago we got out first ever Puppy , a ****zu named Pinkey from the first day we brought Pinkey home , she was just a bundle of fun and took to us straight away . We started her training with out a problem, and she looked very happy Contented and we all looked forward to Pinkey growing up with us for many years to come.
As things turned out with in Two Months of Pinkey coming home with us, She was killed in a
Motoring accident and we were all devastated. So after a long discussions and soul searching
We decided that we wanted to get a second puppy, again a ****zu . So last week we found a lovely
55 day old ****zu puppy and brought her home. She’s now been with us for one week and our main
Concern is that we cannot some how forget how Pinkey took to us and our home right away.
She seemed so happy to be with us. Our new puppy who we have named Daisy is younger than pinkey when we first brought her home, I was expecting Daisy to may be react a little different to her new surroundings as she is younger
Here’s the difference Daisy from day one seems to be what I can only describe as looking
UN happy and sad and just sits near the front door as if waiting for some one to arrive, I am not saying she is not fun and play full at times but she seems preoccupied ( in human terms ) we have got her some toy’s
Which she’s played with, once, and then she’s gone back to sitting under a chair her head down and a sad Expression. When we call her she seems not to want to take any notice, we only use here name when directly
Looking at her ,, or touching her so as not to confuse her name with any thing else but her.
From our last experience of having a very play full and active puppy, Daisy seems just a little bit different
The only thing I can put the difference down to is we got Daisy at a younger age than Pinkey
So could it be that because Daisy being some what younger, and just having left her mum, brothers and sisters she may be feeling some what a little scared and still missing her family..?
We just hope that seeing Daisy looking as I can again only describe as ‘sad’and un happy will in time change
And she will start to enjoy her new family and home…? Comments and advice most welcome
Thanks ..............
