Puppy chases my cats

How can i train my 12 week old beagle pup not to chase and tackle my cats? I know its a stupid question, Beagles are hunters, but i would like to know if there is a way to stop her from at least tackling my cats and nipping at them. I know she is trying to play with them and not trying to be mean, her body language is playful, not aggressive and the nips are mostly on their tails and heels, but my cats are really getting fed up. They do swat her and hiss, and she does back off if they swat her, but not if they only hiss or whine. Any help is appreciated.

If they get mad enough they will teach. All you can do is redirect the play when she gets like that and discourage her when she starts.
