I have two pommies; they are the sweetest little babies.
(Ok, they are scared of everybody except for me, but hey, who doesn't have a little baggage ;)
Very cute little yappers

I wanted a pomie, but my husband was very adamant about not getting a small dog :(
My across-street neighbor has 3 poms, so I satisfy my pom-craving by spoiling hers :) She grooms them herself, and they just look like little teddybears! Absolutely adorable

Pomie is short for pomerian. I hoped I spelled it right... They are little white dogs... small breed

Pomeranians are not only white. They come in sooo many colors along with being in parti colors as well. And at one time they were as large as 20 pounds.

Pattyjo I apologize, the colors I tend to see them in is white or blond. I didn't realize I would have to give the whole breed standard and Honey, 20 pounds is small when you have dogs that weigh 115 and 125 pounds.

My previous foster dog, Fritz, was a pomeranian. And I loved that dog! SO much personality. He was from a particularly horrible puppy mill in the country, spent his entire life in a packing crate, and after a week of spoiling rotten you would never guess lol. It was amazing how he went from the worst of living conditions to getting mad if I gave him a beef stick instead of his ostrich sausage. Spoiled spoiled spoiled! I would love another pom someday, they're such clowns!

I have a rescued adopted pom that was a breeder dog. She is very tiny. Had to have surgery on both her back legs as she had luxating patella (sp?). It took her three years for anyone to be able to touch her but me. She was afraid of everything and in pain until her surgery was completed. They truly are clowns...she has the best personality...I call her my "happy" dog.

Oh, your poor baby! Unfortunately, that is a huge problem with pom-poms. Fritzie had that problem too, but it wasn't so horrible that he needed surgery. He just made sure that he got carried a lot :). Silly little boy...I miss him a lot. But his forever home is a veritable doggie palace (complete with the royal treatment) so at least I see pictures all the time!!

Does yours have collapsing trachea too? That's another pom problem, and Fritz had that as well. He'd get over-excited or over-exerted and BAM. Breathing issues. It had the side-issue of snoring and snorting...he was like a little horse in the latter area lol. Boy, I sure loved that dog. I've never seen such a show-off in my entire life. ANd most I groom are the same way--preening for the lookers-on, convinced that they are the best thing that has ever occured on earth. A great breed :)!
