On Sun. our new puppy will be ready to come home and I am looking for ANY helpful advice. I have a 9 year old mixed breed terrier that I adopted from a shelter 6 years ago and he came "pretrained". He is almost a perfect angel, but because someone else taught him good manners and we were just fortunate enough to get the benefits of that. I am nervous about trying to train this new little guy on my own. I did tons of research to find the breed that would fit best into my family (we're getting a Boston Terrier) and research to find a good breeder. Now that all of that is done and my puppy will be ready in a few days I am at a loss. I want to get all the right supplies, train him, socialize him and make him as wonderful as our older dog. Does anyone have any advice? What are the best supplies? Where do I start with training, socializing? I have his crate and his "area" set up, but what comes next. I guess I just have prepuppy jitters. :D I love this little guy so much and I haven't even brought him home yet!!! I just want to do it right.
Thanks
