I'm going to assume from your picture that you have G.Sheps. Is this your first time ever? How old is your dog? where are you at?

This is my first time in conformation. I am going to be entering the gray dog in my avatar which is a working line German Shepherd. I also am getting a black pup-GSD-next month and she will be entered also. She is mixed Am. and East German (DDR) lines. I am located in southern Oklahoma. She will be 6 months. The sable boy will be 2 in December. I have done Schutzhund training and competed in Obedience before so dog shows aren't really a new thing for me. This is a UKC show because my boy would never cut it. My new girl I have a handler for AKC shows.

Sorry I thought I had a different avatar. He was gray when he was younger but has darkened up quite a bit now.

That's cool. I don't know much about ukc. This is the first dog that I plan on trying to do other evens with. But we shall see. I love to show, I don't know that I would feel the same way about other events.

UKC is owner handled--in other words no pro handlers unless they own or co own the dog. It is a lot more family oriented. I have never shown there before either but I know about the shows and I have friends that do. So what better place than to get my feet wet? LOL Are you going to show the collie on your avatar? I sure like the smooth coats. If I was going to have a collie they would be the ones I wanted. But I have been in my breed almost 25 years now so I think I will stick with them............

Ya that's my puppy. He is my first smooth. Not that I'm not used to them. But i never actually owned one before. I love most of the herding breeds but collies are my fav.
