Sibes dont hate cats!

I just read a cute story about an adopted Siberian husky. The dog apparently settled right in the home. The people also own a little cat. One day the woman was calling the cat back in the house and the cat naturally keeps on going. The Sibe in a tender way picks up the cat and brings her in the house! The cat was completlely fine with that. And they are great friends.

So it is possible to have a Sibe and a cat and not worry about the cat being on the menu. Contrary to some beliefs!!!

Lol,...
"as a sibe owner myself...he was probably just bringing it closer to the stove "

Well, in our family it would be the cat bringing the sibes to the stove, if only she were bigger! She is just too old to change her ways.

My mother has a now 13 year old husky and he did try to eat the cats at first but once we got it thru to him that that was bad he loved them. Now if they happened to get outside the chase was on. But they to this day sleep together. And I really think that the cat helps him now, he has gone blind. The cat helps him get thru the house, sort of a guide.

My kitten used to beat up on my sibe! My cat would be biting her tail or dangling from my sibes face. They were hilarious!! Now that my cats gotten older though, he's scared of her!

I had a husky growing up, and my sister has one now (with many problems )-- but both of them got along/get along just fine with our cats. In fact, if Max the problem child gets too nose-y when one of the cats are eating or playing with something, the cats smack him on the nose and he backs right off.
(Frankly, I think he's confused about what exactly they are... hmmm, not dog, hmmmm..... )
